My name is Emma Blenker Andersen. I am currently studying to be a ceramicist at The Royal Danish Academy's Craft program: Glass and Ceramics on Bornholm.

My approach to ceramics is playfull and curious, and I enjoy experimenting with different techniques.

I am interrested in shapes and how simply they can communicate.

I hope to make work that speaks to the very basic sences of the viewer and that can be enjoyed by many.

 

Nostalgia is a driving force and source of inspiration in my work. Furthermore, I am fasinated by the element of familiarity and tradition that is present in functional ware.
 

My work is a merge of craft, art and design, often blending elements of figuration with functionality.
